Through Glass: Finding Beauty in the Ordinary

Tomorrow is the day!

I am so excited to officially release my newest body of work, Through Glass. This collection has been such a joy to create, and I can’t wait to finally share it with you.

Glass has always fascinated me. It comes in so many forms, holding everything from everyday essentials to treasured keepsakes. Some pieces are sturdy and built to last, while others are delicate and require gentle care. In many ways, I think people are a lot like glass. We all carry different things, we all have our own strengths, and no matter how strong we appear, we can still be fragile if we’re not handled with care.

As an artist, I was drawn to the challenge of capturing glass itself. The transparency, reflections, highlights, shadows, and subtle distortions all create a beautiful puzzle that changes with every object. Painting something you can almost see through has pushed me to look more carefully and paint more intentionally than ever before.

This series also marks a personal shift in my artistic journey. Over the past several years, I’ve created many digital paintings, and that experience taught me so much about color, value, and composition. Now, I’ve returned my focus to traditional painting, using acrylic on canvas to loosen my brushwork and develop a more expressive style. It’s been exciting to see how the techniques I practiced digitally have translated into real brushes, real paint, and real texture.

The Through Glass collection features 12 brand-new original paintings, along with a few earlier works that fit beautifully within the series. Each painting celebrates the beauty found in ordinary objects and invites us to slow down and appreciate the quiet moments that often go unnoticed.

I hope you’ll stop by tomorrow to explore the collection and find the piece that speaks to you. Whether it’s a nostalgic bottle, a favorite kitchen object, or simply the way light dances through glass, I hope these paintings bring a little beauty into your home.

Thank you, as always, for supporting my art and following along on this journey. I truly can’t wait to share this collection with you.

See you tomorrow!
