A Festival, Fresh Notebooks, and a Wild Surprise

The Delhi Harvest Festival was such a beautiful day. The sun was shining, the community came out in full swing, and I got to spend the whole day surrounded by amazing artists and vendors. I set up my booth with my newest creations—my notebooks—and they were a total hit! I sold quite a few, along with some prints, and the best part? Hearing people’s kind words about my work. Those little compliments throughout the day meant so much.

There’s just something about being out in the community, chatting with people face-to-face, and seeing them connect with what I’ve made. It fills me up and reminds me why I keep creating.

And as if that wasn’t enough good news, I had another exciting moment recently. I painted a digital portrait of Wild the Coyote, a musician I appreciate. I’ve posted it a couple of times, but the last time I shared it, I tagged him in it. To my total surprise, he reposted it with a “Thank you!” to his 15,000 followers.

I can’t even explain how much that meant to me. To have someone I appreciate not only see my work but share it—it felt like such a win. Little old me getting a shoutout from Wild the Coyote himself? Pretty wild (pun intended).

Between the festival and that repost, my heart has been so full. Thank you to everyone who stopped by my booth, and thank you to Wild the Coyote for making this artist feel seen and appreciated.

  1. Hi Allysia,
I love your digital paintings–Sorry I wasn’t able to meet you and see more of your work at the Harvest Fest, but I was stuck in my own booth.

Best of luck at the rest of the seasonal fests
